Having designed three successful projects for this client, Joan Heaton understood and easily incorporated their environmental aesthetic and her own green building practices into the architectural design of this seaside home.

This carefully sited seaside home sits on a rocky point overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Well integrated in its natural setting and just 75-feet back from the water’s edge, this shingled home is surrounded by natural vegetation. The living areas open onto a wrap-around porch allowing for ocean views and easy transition to the outdoors. The master bedroom is on the first floor with a private deck. Two additional bedrooms and an art studio are tucked under the roof, these rooms and get ample daylight through dormers and skylights.
